New Website Launched by Chautauqua Lake Management Commission
The Chautauqua Lake Mgt. Commission (CLMC) is a coalition of local groups who have a stake in the health of Chautauqua Lake and all the region’s lakes and streams. CCWA is a member of the Commission along with Chautauqua Planning and Economic Development Dept., Chautauqua Soils and Water Conservation District, Chautauqua Lake Association, Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy, Cassadaga Lake Association, Lake Erie Mgt. Association, and Findley Lake Watershed Association. Check out their website: http://chautauqualakes.webs.com/. Links to most of these groups can be found there. Although at this time the site is “Chautauqua Lake centric” (focuses mostly on Chautauqua Lake), the principles can be used in any watershed. (Chautauqua Lake and its watershed are a subwatershed of Conewango Creek Watershed!) There are photos, news and publications available at the site. Be sure to check it out.
