The Conewango Creek Watershed Association has joined ACA as one of their Paddle America Club members.
Through this membership we have been able to get reasonable liability insurance to cover our in- or on-water activities, something that has become more challenging in recent years. “Each year it has been harder to find insurance to cover our stream cleanups and paddles,” says Elizabeth Dropp, member of the CCWA Board. “The ACA, in it’s a mission to get people out on the water safely, understands this need and has developed an insurance program to fills that need. We would hate to give up those activities because we couldn’t get insurance,” according to Dropp. In addition, the ACA provides some very good safety and other paddling information as well as training opportunities.
