Details:

  • Date: Saturday, Sept 9
  • Time: Registration 8 – 9 am; Cleanup 9 am to 2 pm
  • Location: Starts and end at Warren Beatty Middle School parking lot (North end of school, south of Third street, back towards creek.)
  • Type of Cleanup: On-land only.
  • Preregistration requested at edropp@conewangocreek.org. Sorry our Contact Form is not working right now.)
  • Provide Full name, phone number, email and no. of people coming. ( we will only use this info to contact you about the cleanup if changes occur.)
  • Cancellation: Will only occur due to stormy weather or high water.
  • Come prepared: dress for the weather, wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, sturdy close -toed shoes.
  • What to bring: Hat, layers, reusable water bottle, snacks, any medications you need, sunscreen, and bug spray.
  • Supplies: We will supply gloves , garbage bags, water ,and snacks.
  • You can volunteer for any length of time. (don’t have to stay for the whole event.
  • Trash Disposal: Bring your trash back to Beatty parking lot so we can tally what we collect.

Please join with your fellow community members this September 9th as a time to reflect and volunteer in the outdoors while accomplishing a satisfying and beneficial service for our region and all who enjoy the beauty of Conewango Creek.  Volunteers should meet at the parking lot in the Warren Beatty Middle School parking lot on Third Ave in Warren, PA.  Registration will begin at 8 am.  People will be dispersed by 9 am.  Cleanup ends at 2 pm.  You are welcome to participate in the entire event or any portion of it. 

Participants should pre-register by email at edropp@conewangocreek.org.  Please tell us your full name, phone number and email address, and how many people are coming.  (We will not share your info with anyone else.  This information will only be used to contact you in case of changes, unless you ask to put on our email list.)  We will start and end at the Warren Beatty Middle School parking lot on Third Ave. Everyone is welcome to attend so please meet up with the Conewango Creek Watershed Association (CCWA) for this year’s annual creek clean-up on Saturday, September 9th.  We’ll be cleaning up the lower Conewango this year.

Volunteers are required to sign a waiver, check-in, and check-out at the registration site at Warren Beatty Middle School parking lot, Warren, PA. 

We will be out rain or shine so please dress for the weather.  Only stormy weather or high water will cause the event to be canceled or have a delay in the starting time. Wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.  Other desired items to bring would be a hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, rain coat, warm layers, water or a refillable water bottle, and snacks as well as any medications, you may need.  Gloves and plastic bags will be provided.  Be prepared to get wet and muddy.  We will provide water and snacks.
